The User Experience Research Lab is a multidisciplinary research lab I cofounded with a fellow grad student in the Media School program. The lab's main goal is to provide user experience consultation and research services to members of the IU community broadly, and students within the Media School's Game Design program specifically.
My primary motivation for starting the lab was brought on by my desire to gain more experience leading industry style research projects. It can be difficult to break into the industry, so rather than wait on opportunities to come my way, I decided to create my own opportunities through this lab.
Through collaborations with the Game Design program as well as other media departments, the lab has been continuing to grow, educating students and faculty on UX research and its application and use across all forms of media production while providing industry level research to assist students and faculty in taking their creative projects to the next level.
